weather note: so windy and blustery out. fireplace is nice. will do some knitting today. i finally broke down & bought the correct size double pointed needles. i've been trying to come up with ways to make my own, as am generally annoyed that i own so many needles but each project seems to call for sizes i don't have. but dan convinced me i'm just building up my tool collection.
