the radio was playing a classic john prine tune: "that flag decal won't get you into heaven anymore". i haven't heard it in years, and it's sadly quite appropriate now. but a great tune nonetheless. it would make for a great cover at kerrville or similar.

edit: i just did some quick research, and the song is from 1972. vietnam. i shouldn't be suprised ... all of phil ochs' songs from the 70s are eerily appropriate now, too.
