I awoke this morning to seeing my stepping stones and grass in the front yard! I can now get to my car without wading through nasty swamp water. I'm sitting here watching the water rise in my yard and laughing at the objects skirting across the water. I have about 3 feet or so of water right now from heavy thunderstorms which are pounding the area and have been since around 10 p.m. I woke up around 1 a.m. and took a peek out of the window. My favorite time of the day still remains the early morning hours just before dawn. The world around me is sleeping except for the occasional whoot of an owl. It is so peaceful and serene and this tranquility allows me to gather my thoughts before I head out to face the day.

But .. I'm missing my link and my coffee just doesn't taste the same

Whew! I haven't stopped all morning! The yard got a facelift. Grass is cut, weeded the gardens, used the round up around everything for the pesky weeds, spread some weed and seed on the lawn, put some new stepping stones leading up to my porch from the carport, roasted an Eye of the Round roast with potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, made donuts ( Read more... )

The month of March in the south was made for kite flying. I searched the local stores for a kite and pretty much came up empty handed. I would guess it is too early in the season for kite flying. A few years ago I started making presents from my kitchen at Christmas for friends.
