This is my first post to this community, which I am sooooooooo grateful for. I'm a 5'0" curvy girl that hovers between a size 28 and a size 32 (depending on the clothes) with a rather ample bust. Earlier this month, I finished my first sweater. I've only been knitting for about a year and a half now. My friend, modeling the sweater, loved it. But, of course, I see that I need to either pick patterns for busty gals or learn how to measure and adjust a pattern for the person I am making the sweater for.

I can't seem to find anyone who's actually made it, and I'm stuck on some of the directions. In between finishing the lower body and joining the sleeves to the lower body, the instructions seem to go from RS row to RS row, which is impossible because this thing isn't knit in the round. The publisher doesn't list any errata at all for this pattern. ( Read more... )

In the spirit of keeping this community alive I'm asking for help getting some inspiration. I have some yarn that was given to me with the idea I would make a coat. I'd love a coat I could actually wear as outer wear, not just another layer inside.
