For a silly reason, I decided to try to compute my Erdös number.  I know that it is no greater than 6.  Starting with Sheldon Glashow, with an Erdös number of 2, we go....

So, I've got no more than a 6.  Might be able to find a shorter path, but it would take a lot of time.  I'm fairly satisfied with how it is now.

Our next stop was Arches National Park. We were refreshed from relaxing in the pool and hot tub the previous night at the hotel. Anyway, turns out this place is bigger than I had anticipated. While we had ideas about hiking around between spots at Bryce Canyon, this was just not possible at Arches, where the points of interests are miles apart ( Read more... )

I've admittedly be less social than I wanted to be out here in California. That's easy to do when you're in a long distance relationship, when you can work 70 hours/week some weeks, when you're in an unfamiliar place, etc. I'm not a hermit by any means, but.... not reaching my goals of socialness ( Read more... )

I'm having trouble sleeping since I'm worried about my impending move. So many things need to get taken care of, and yet I only want to spend all my time with friends here while I still can.

I hope this doesn't become a continuing thing until I move. I need all the sleep I can get at this point...

I'm leaving my apartment here in Durham in about a month and a half. I've lived here for almost six years.
