Looking around at things differently

I'm leaving my apartment here in Durham in about a month and a half. I've lived here for almost six years. I don't know what apartment I'm moving in to next, who I'll live with (if anyone), what kind of place it will be, etc. I don't know if I'll have a travel allowance or any moving assistance, and so I think I may need to get rid of a lot of furniture here. Also, a fair bunch of clothes (which is ok, I have too many) and various other things. Is it worth bringing the rock band/guitar hero stuff? I'm not sure. I'll need to find a new home for this nice sofa. It has moved around a bit, and I hope this won't be the end of the line for it, but I think it is impractical to get it out of Durham.

My bed has served me quite well, but that is really hard to move too. I think I'll need to ditch that here. Do people buy used mattresses? Seems strange to me. What cooking stuff should I bring, what should I leave?

At least, as I understand it, book shipping is quite cheap. So I can just mail myself all my books, at least.

So... yeah, that's where things stand. I'm not looking forward to these choices. This will be the first time I've had to make this kind of decision. I've always lived in a bigger place than I did before, and I never really had much furniture before.

Well, I'm crashing. Good night.
