Just yesterday, we went to the Sweetwater Casino to celebrate my niece's birthday. Not twelve hours after we left, the place was struck by lightning and subsequently burnt to the ground. Got a lot of good responses to the post I made yesterday (I crossposted on poor_skills) - only one unhelpful semi-jerky person out of a ton of responses. Today we bought some seeds, and we're going to try to plant a garden. With food prices being what they are, I figure it can't hurt to try! Steve seems into the idea - he just helped one of his friend's mothers make their garden, so he even knows some of what we need to do. The financial situation is still glum, but at least it looks like Aus may have made some progress with the unemployment people. So maybe we won't have to wait until the 19th, at least. For Aus's birthday, we ordered some pizza and tooled around all day. We played a lot of Guitar Hero II - I graduated from Slowest, to Slower, to Slow... and finally tried a song at regular speed.
