Got a lot of good responses to the post I made yesterday (I crossposted on poor_skills) - only one unhelpful semi-jerky person out of a ton of responses. One of the suggestions was to read a book called What Color is Your Parachute, so we went to the library to check that out today. Forgot to comment yesterday -- the book "Your Money or Your Life" got me through some *seriously* tough times...I mean, times are still tough but I feel MUCH more capable of managing it now. It's not so much "tips on being poor", but tips on how to think about money...hard to explain. But GREAT stuff. It's an old book; I found it in a library many years ago.
