Sweetwater Casino Burns Down

Just yesterday, we went to the Sweetwater Casino to celebrate my niece's birthday. Not twelve hours after we left, the place was struck by lightning and subsequently burnt to the ground. I've given up hope that Aus will ever get another job. We will be trapped in this cycle of poverty and having nothing less than nothing forever, until we eventually die.

We had one of those kind of days, as well.

The poverty circle isn't fun. Especially when you run into the "you must have X number of years experience to get this job" BS. My husband ran into a similar problem when in interviews they said they'd like him if he was "just a bit older," and "a bit more experienced."

This is a man who had handled 3 million dollar international projects at his previous job.

...Apparently you need to starve until you're around 50 or so to get an administrator job. *headdesks* Because everyone knows you don't grow your first brain cell (and thus, job competency) until you are some magical age that seems to change at every interview.

The best anyone can do is keep trying, I suppose. Eventually something will come though.
