Our tree is tilty, but pretty and sweet.  And it has a tree-scaling piglet at the top looking awfully pleased with himself while wearing a teeny little knit cap.  We even have presents beneath which nicely block the brilliantly orange bucket the tree is residing in.  Altogether a festive picture. Yay-ness.  We just went and saw "The Golden Compass".  I'm feeling tired and sort of flaky, so I won't really review it.  Mostly, I enjoyed it and felt that they made excellent choices about who to cast.  Even the newbie playing Lyra was really very good.  Really, my only substantial complaint would be that they didn't give enough time to character ( Read more... )

So, poor Kate is exhausted.  She came and picked me up in Norwich on Tuesday (3 hours each way), then we went to her Mum's to help with a couple things on Friday (1 hour each way), then we went up North to a wedding on Saturday (4.5 hours), and came back via a Viva Owner's Club event on Sunday (3 hours to event and 2 hours home).  So, she's done ( Read more... )
