I had an application to drop off in London yesterday, so Kate and I made a day of it.  This required us getting up far too early in order to stop off along the way so I could pick up an application form for work in a Catholic school (of all places).  However, once my errands were done, we had a wonderful day.

Well, the rain only spat at us a bit and we were able to pull off an hour of games with our kids and another group.  It was a good, if slightly chaotic way to finish the workshop series.  I think the kids enjoyed it.

It was for about a second and a half and I was way in the background, but it still struck me as a bit odd.  The reason this happened was because I went to watch a couple of our kids in an adaptation of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and the local news was there taping it.  They scanned the audience and also interviewed a few of the kid actors.  What's ( Read more... )

I need to find the train station today and get my tickets.  The travel times here seem very weird, so I don't want to wait until tomorrow and risk not being able to get to Cluj.

The afternoon session rocked.

A biggish group showed up today and I ended up helping *two* kids with schoolwork!  And one was math.  Try explaining math with a 40 word vocabulary.  It’s hard.  Actually, Dia would do the explaining and then I’d work through it with G and reinforce and illustrate. ( Read more... )
