Kate and I tied the knot one week ago yesterday.  I thought marriage wasn’t for me for almost my entire life, but so far, being hitched is agreeing with me.  Actually, I’m thrilled and so overjoyed to be officially linked with Kate.

I went on two school trips this week.  One to the Look Out Discovery Centre and one to Kew Gardens.

I was really pleased about Kew Gardens because I'd really wanted to see them, but the normal cost was £12 (too steep for this chica).  With the school, I actually got paid to go.  And it was a lovely day.  The gardens are extensive and lovely.  As a ( Read more... )

I slept until 12:30 today. I must have needed it after a week of getting up early while adjusting to a time zone change. I'm back in good 'ol Oly and have had a very pleasant Christmas Eve and Christmas with my various family units.  The flight over went really quite well and I even met a nice girl who is in Drama and volunteered in Rwanda.  Also watched Rataouille and read Ali Smith's Girl Meets Boy: The Myth of Iphis.

Our tree is tilty, but pretty and sweet.  And it has a tree-scaling piglet at the top looking awfully pleased with himself while wearing a teeny little knit cap.  We even have presents beneath which nicely block the brilliantly orange bucket the tree is residing in.  Altogether a festive picture.
