Lori and I hosted a Jasfa meeting over the weekend. Unfortunately, hardly anyone was able to make it. The trip to PA was fun. I don't know Lori's friends that well, but I'm starting to connect with some of them. I got a chance to play Settlers of Cataan, watch Shaun of the Dead, and get a little bit of reading in so that was cool. We're headed to Pennsylvania this weekend to visit Chris & Chris and a bunch more of Lori's friends from college. They're all great people so it should be a fun time. This has become something of a yearly tradition to all get together in the fall. Each couple is responsible for preparing one meal for everybody else which makes things interesting ( Read more... )

Jewish New Year that is. Yesterday was Rosh Hashanna. It went pretty well. We had Lori's parents and the nice couple who run our local farm co-op (Pablo and Esther) over for dinner on Monday night. So we just got back from Fort Lauderdale, FL. We flew down on Saturday to visit Lori's grandmother. It turned out to be a very pleasant trip.
