Very small jasfa meeting
Lori and I hosted a Jasfa meeting over the weekend. Unfortunately, hardly anyone was able to make it. John F. and Karen dropped by on Friday night (they really stopped by just to say hi, they weren't actually interested in anime), but no one else. On Saturday, we had Tim, Will, and Chris F.. Tom showed up very late on Saturday. Everyone decided to pack it up and go home around 11pm Saturday night and no one showed up on Sunday. Fairly disappointing really. I look forward to jasfa meetings as a chance to catch up with a lot of people I don't see that much of anymore. It was certainly good to see the people who did make it, but hopefully we'll get a few more next time.
I'm off to a two day management off site meeting at the Landsdowne Resort in Leesburg. I wouldn't mind it if I didn't have real work to do. As it is it's just a nuisance. I have to go to two of these things a year at this point. I don't want to think about how often I'll have to do this nonsense if I manage to get promoted again.
