Happy New Year!
Jewish New Year that is. Yesterday was Rosh Hashanna. It went pretty well. We had Lori's parents and the nice couple who run our local farm co-op (Pablo and Esther) over for dinner on Monday night. I think Pablo and Esther were a tad overwhelmed by all the chaos, but they seemed to have a reasonably good time. We saw them again at our temple the next day. It looks like they'll be joining the temple too so we should be seeing them more often.
I had babysitting duty for most of yesterday. I took the kids downstairs to the play area at the temple while Lori went to services upstairs. Chasing the boys can be tiring, but sitting in services is pretty boring so it was a fair trade. Afterwords, we went to Lori's parents for their holiday party. Maddy was manic as usual, but it worked out all right. We picked up the new motorcycle after the party so that was definitely a good way to end the day.
