Thanks to the unseasonable warm weather this winter, the tree pruning schedule had to be advanced.

The primary cherry tree has grown too tall, and this past summer the sprayer could not reach some of the tent caterpillars.
So, a little tree topping was called for, and of course that meant I got to play.

Go hiking, of course!

I tried to go to Lake Dorothy last week, but I got my car stuck on a snow covered debris field (created from a creek washing over the road).

This time, I decided to not go into the Cascades, but instead pick a trail that is on the outermost edge of the mountains.

Lake Serene met that criteria.
