Evil.... Eeeeeeevilllll !
Years ago, I was given this as a gift.
It sits on the top of my fridge as a subtle reminder of the Squirrel Cookie Jar that is on top of Firni's fridge. I hate/fear that jar (the painted eyes are unnatural, and the follow me throughout the kitchen), and I am told that if I die before Zenbastard does, my ashes will be placed in that damn thing. Shudder.
Even without the cookie jar connection (the whole purpose of the nut cracker being a gift), this thing is pretty darn scary, despite the PR blurb on the side of the box :
"A handsome young squirrel detailed in cast aluminum. Happily he will crack any nut you put in his mouth... Pecans, Almonds & Walnuts are only a few! Lift his tail to open his mouth, then when his tail is pressed down the nut is cracked! A delightful character eager to please and a squirrel who prefers to share his nuts rather than bury them in the yard."
