...now seems to be in reach.  After a bunch of phone calls, I finally talked to someone who genuinely wanted to help.  It's a ways off, actually getting this, but now at least I know that it can be done.  It's really sad that this little of a thing improved my mood as much as it has.

Two years ago, there was a huge wind and rain storm that knocked out power to a large portion of the metropolitan area.  Two years ago yesterday, to be specific.  Last night there was a massive storm that knocked out power to a large chunk of the area around my apartment.  You can always count on St. Louis weather to be dramatic.

Yesterday, in the wee hours of the morning, someone vandalized Mike's motorcycle.  No good reason, they just did it.  According to the security cameras on Mike's house, a pickup truck drove up, the passenger jumped out before the truck had even come to a complete stop and pushed over the motorcycle.  This smashed the windshield, bent the fork, ( Read more... )

This was never a problem when I was growing up, but for some reason, as soon as I started living on my own, whether at Butler or now back in St. Louis, it became a problem.  There never seem to be enough forks.  The forks always seem to be dirty.  I don't get it.  How can only 2 people go through forks more quickly than 3 people ( Read more... )
