A Little Sci-Fi with My Baseball
Did my sort of annual trip down to Seattle to see the Red Sox play the Mariners a couple weeks ago. Finally sorting through my pics and found this jem. 2011 Half Marathon Done!
Walked the Kotzebue Mosquito Half-Marathon on Saturday...which was actually 14 miles and not 13. They lied! Was my version of the Fandom "5K". 3 hours and 20 minutes and second place in the walking division. I knocked 10 minutes off my time last year which was cool. Can't believe its been a week since I flew back from England. I think my body is finally adjusting. During my fun filled adventure exploring the Lake District area, I detoured down to Birmingham for Chevron 7.6 for a weekend with my friend Jan. Kobuk 440 and Spring sort of!
Last weekend was Spring Festival time in Kotzebue. Of course the only spring part was that it was sunny. We still have lots of snow, which is good for the big dogsled race in our region. Fanfiction - Trucco gets it!
Another blizzard, so I was checking out YouTube for any Michael Shanks video from th Basauri 2.0 convention this weekend. I found this video of Michael Trucco answering a question about fanfiction, specifically slash. I thought his answer was great. Fanfiction, videos, etc. expands the fan experience for a show. IMHO. Evil raccoons
Waiting for this -40 to -50 degree F stretch of weather to warm up, I was going through pics from my warmer days in California and Alabama a couple months ago. LA Creation Stargate Convention 2010
Enjoying sunny California...at least when I get off the computer and hit the beach. Started off attending the LA con on Saturday and part of Friday. Saturday was Michael Shanks and Joe Flanigan who were both very entertaining. Thanks to all for my virtual birthday gifts. You guys are great! Was a pretty uneventful birthday but ended with a good walk with the dog and a little Shanks and RDA on SGU. I don't feel over 40 ;) -
Vancouver Stargate Con - Shanks
Had tons of fun in the Vancouver area the past couple weeks with a couple of great people who are stuck there still - dang Iceland volcano!!!
