Privy Counsel
I really do love my job. I get to travel, see all sorts of interesting places, and meet lots of great people. But like anyone else, I have my pet peeves. Right now, I find myself peeved about the lack of privy (aka restroom, porta-toilet) etiquette some folks have. Living La Vida Medieval
It's a bumper crop year for walnuts. I wouldn't have noticed this, except that the Ohio renfair site is in the middle of a huge walnut grove. All the non-public areas of the fair are filled with walnut trees. At night I can lie there and listen to the walnuts fall from the trees and hit tents and cars. Where does the time go? GenCon...Pennsic...and now we're half-way through with the Ohio Renaissance Faire already! It seems like we've been going non-stop.

The weather has been hot, and humid. That's old news to anyone who lives in the Ohio River Valley. It seems like the days have simultaneously been flying by and moving in slow motion.

Home Again
So I'm home from Gulf Wars, and I really enjoyed it this year. Since Skylar was with us, that meant there was enough help I could actually go to a class on Romano-British food archaeology. Gulf Wars Countdown
Too much to do, and not enough time! 8 days remain until I leave for Gulf Wars... Spent the bulk of the past two days plugging away on trailer work. I'm tired, stiff, sore, and still feel like I'm running behind. Time to look re-evaluate my checklist.
