I've been living in Kobe/Japan for almost 4 months now. The first semester is over, finally, and I made it through all of the exams without any problems! Now I have some time to show what I've seen here so far. (Or at least some selected photos!)

The typhoon "Guchol" is approaching Japan right now.

What has been a #4/#5 hurricane or "Super Typhoon" in the philippines a few days ago has now shrunk to only #1, or even only a "Tropical Storm", but it's still the first typhoon ever for me! =D
(Poor European child has never seen a real hurricane before... XD)

Packing and goodbyes

My flight is scheduled for tomorrow 3 pm, but I'm still not freaking out yet.
Seems like I don't realize that starting tomorrow I'll be away from home for a whole year!
It will hit me when I'm on the plane. Or when I'm already in Japan. (Hope it won't be too bad!)

Closer than I thought! (O_o)
The birthmark I've had removed a few weeks ago was pretty close to a malignant melanoma, the doc said. The test revealed that there were cancer cells in there.
I was lucky to remove it NOW, because in Japan I wouldn't have gone to a dermatologist without any emergency reason. Within this one year it sure would have ( Read more... )
