Flying out tomorrow morning to Philadelphia to see my mother graduate from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and be ordained as a Rabbi. Back monday night around midnight. Have a nice weekend.

This past weekend I was in the Bay Area for my step-grandfather's 80th, and for the first night of Passover. Drove down to Portland today, my friend cancelled dinner plans for this evening, so I stayed in, drank moderately spiked egg nog, and watched The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy with the parents.

You know that feeling of not paying attention, only you don't notice that you're not paying attention until you start to pay attention, and then you realize you haven't been? Good. File that away for future reference.

Spent the past 2 days on a whirlwind, one night trip to Portland. My dad and brother have birthdays this weekend, so I did that as the family visit, rather than thanksgiving thursday. Nice visit. Wish I'd had a little longer with the family ( Read more... )
