Im in lovely colorado visiting children and grandchildren. The weather is crazy warm! Been to dinners, homecoming parades and the football game...one grandson's soccer game, out with the girls for a late night (still paying for that), went to the skatepark, played some Uno. Whew, I still have 3 days left!

I dropped Tom off at the airport this morning.  Got him all packed up last night and amazingly crammed a week's worth of hunting paraphernalia into one duffle.  I am good.  Talked him into taking a garment bag carry on for suits/dress shirts and placing the binoculars and some other electronics in the bottom of that - I mean c'mon...a person sees a ( Read more... )

I hate it when your children call and the first thing you hear is the obvious sound of crying.  You get that 'gut -wrenching-chest pounding-oh-shit' sensation in about 2 seconds flat .

32 years ago, my life was very messy.  i was 20 with one child and expecting a second.  i couldnt take birth control after having blood clots, my husband was a mess, too.  it didn't help that he was seeing someone else and she was pregnant.  ugh.  lots of details left out, no need to regurgitate.  it was just messy.

Feeling MUCH better - over the weekend was certainly a couch potato, but yesterday even got myself back on the treadclimber.  Amazingly, I didn't gain any weight.  This kills me to admit, but I actually felt spongy from my lack of working out.  WHAT has happened to me?
