Feeling MUCH better - over the weekend was certainly a couch potato, but yesterday even got myself back on the treadclimber.  Amazingly, I didn't gain any weight.  This kills me to admit, but I actually felt spongy from my lack of working out.  WHAT has happened to me?

Everything going very well for John D and Tom in Richmond.  Sounds like the boy is in a nice area and they have him all set up in his new digs.  Tom on a plane headed west as I write.  J.D. will start his new job on Monday.  YAY for him :)

Know what I got for Valentine's Day??  A second mortagage!  My man knows how to treat his woman :)
Actually, it is to rid ourselves of two old credit cards.  We each brought a very heavy one into our marriage almost 8 years ago.  Been plugging away, but it irks me each month when I write a check.  The one of mine we never use and it has lots of old memories attached to it.  So, as part of our red zone retirement plan, we consolidated.  In 4 years, those two bad boys are history.   Otherwise, unless the house burns down or I need a tranpslant, we are good to go in 4 to 5 years.
I have not been able to really think about any sort of plan, but I'm trying.  Tom and I really need something to look forward to, these last couple of years have been brutal.

The TV blip about HCV was ok.  Waaaaay too short, it's such a big topic to squish into a couple of minutes.  But, at least they didn't portray us to look like crack whores on the corner.  Even "Dr. God" was ok - he didn't come across as the postulating asshat that he is.  Suppose we can credit that to good editing :p  The young reporter who did the story added her expected 'drama', oh well.  At least it was a chance to get some awareness type info out there.

Yesterday I went to the bike shop.  Thinking about trading up to something with a little more umph.  I love my bike - it's size, all of it's features, but it just doesn't have the guts for the interstate.  So, I looked at the same VStar line and had my mind on an 1100.  But they had a 2007 1300 for less money than a new 1100.  It's about 100 pounds heavier,  .8" increase in seat height, otherwise pretty much the same.   So, I've got my bike's battery recharged after the long, cold winter and will put that back in this afternoon.  I'll buzz it up to the shop to see what they will offer me in trade.
I've got such a jones to get out and ride - these last mid-40 days are just a teaser I know.  Then I read
dreamalert's journal and see he has been out riding.   South of us, the weather had been perfect for blowing the dust off.  It's coming - this weekend we will be mid-50's and I'll be outta here.
