Everyone, a round of applause is in order! I completed a complete yoga workout from my OnDemand fitness channel. This is exciting because it was called "yoga for athletes".

With Eric having lost SO much weight (and looking mighty damn delicious, especially at the beach), it made me want to start taking better care of myself as well.  So I started with eatting better, smoking less, running/walking, and yoga.  Unfortunately, there is a lot less running/walking than I would like, but everything has to start somewhere.

I don't know whether I am stressed or not.  I keep thinking about how easy it is for me to speak and write English, and I get frustrated that I'm not fluent in German as well.  What ALSO frustrates me is that when I do get a basic knowledge and can speak German, I still won't be proficient in it.  I want to know what the slang is but also know how ( Read more... )

My entry today doesn't REALLY have anything to do with a phoenix.  It's more literal.

My mom has been in the hospital and it isn't good. Basically, she isn't looking good and we had to take her off life support.

I was struggling with that at first but I've found clarity. I knew that I did what she wanted me to do and I'm not hurting. Yeah, it's still painful but I'm okay with it.

I just got word that my mom may have to go to a respirator. She's also got high blood pressure but thin blood, which isn't good in compound with her liver problems. She was actually just in for a procedure--something called shunts.

Health has yet to find me.  Ever since Saturday I've been fighting away this....gross, ickiness.  It refuses to go away.  And it made me achy and stuff.  =(

Bah.  I do feel a little better, but I'm ... still sick.  So whatever.

Ahh yes, well it turns out that I have a great deal of appointment making on my calendar.  I'm tired of knowing in the back of my mind that I need to do something.  I need to have a pap smear done.  I need to have another eye exam.  I need to have the birth control pill.  I need to go to counseling in approximately 15 minutes.

Before I launch into an explanation of my classes, I will say that my hangover is now gone and that I am functioning on a fairly normal level.  I'm still a little tired, but I'm not woozy if I move too fast and the world is a little better for it.  And this vast turn in health is all due to the handy dandy ready-to-eat macaroni and cheese cup!  ( Read more... )
