Hey whatwasthatone - anyone watching the Grammy Awards?

The Beach Boys are doing a reunion song, and there's this guy playing an instrument that looks like a piano keyboard colored on a piece of wood, with a wire thing he slides back and forth across it. It makes a spooky electronic ghost sort of noise, I guess.

What the heck instrument is it?!?

What's the drum that is often used in yoga/calming sounds music, the kind that makes you think of waterfalls or the rain forest, that makes a "boing" sound. It reminds me of Donkey Kong Country but I don't know if it's actually in that music. Is it a real instrument? I know it is one of the voices on something such as a casio keyboard. I'm trying to figure out the artist and song of a video I just saw. It's black and white and there's a guy on the piano. The words/lyrics appear everywhere as clever typography and BERNADETTE was mentioned somewhere the lyrics.

FOUND! Eric Hutchinson - Ok it's alright with me

This band was featured on MTV Canada 2 weeks ago, and Im completely blanking on the name. I think their name is 'The F----- -------'; and I think there are 3 guys in the band. This should be pretty easy, but I don't have TV so I'm not familiar with current music videos. Is there a word for a bass line that just alternates between the tonic and fifth of the current chord? Frighteningly, the only example that readily leaps to mind is the guitar bit in "The Biggest Lie", but it's a fairly common bass affair.
