I ran across an Alan Lee painting on Tumblr awhile ago and fell in love with it, but the post didn't have a title for the painting, and I haven't had any luck finding it myself. It had the characteristic misty, pale Lee-look, done in grays, blues, and greens, of a crow or raven perched on top of a fallen totem pole, with other totem poles scattered ( Read more... )

My friend bought a painting at an auction for something like $5-$10 and he's interested in finding out who the artist is. It's possible that it was a hobbyist and was no one famous, but he's curious. He thinks this was painted with oils. The signature says "McKeever 1955."

When I was a child, my family mentioned/talked about an artist who made dollhouse-style rooms in trees and logs with lights and tiny furniture and figures. These may or may not have been out in the countryside for people to see (we live in England).
