My friend kengr and I do gardening to have extra food, and she got a “salad mix” this year from the plant nursery. It doesn’t tell us what plants are in the salad mix, so I have these photos of some of the leaves if anyone would be so kind as to identify any of these for us. Thanks in advance!

Okay so like... when you cut a bush down, but don't uproot it, and there's still these spiky twig things sticking up out of the ground, what are those called? They're not the roots or branches, and I don't think "trunk(s?)" is the right word (at least, I've never heard anyone say "the trunk of a bush ( Read more... )

I saw a plant with yellow trumpet flowers (similar to a Brugmansia) on the side of the 101 freeway in Los Angeles. The leaves were thin and lance-shaped, they looked almost like cannabis leaves. It grew in shrubs, but I couldn't estimate the size. Anyone have any idea what this could be?
