Monday I went to the library and did my grocery shopping. I checked seven DVDs of Dark Shadows out of the library -- episodes that Netflix doesn't carry. I don't have a car to ride in these days and it rained most of the time I was outside. I'd forgotten my umbrella. It's quiet now, but less than an hour ago we were getting hammered with torrents of rain. My poor little dogster, Ginger, was shaking and panting simultaneously because she's afraid of storms, even though there was very little thunder to be heard. I planted my moonflower and morning glory seeds yesterday. We had record-breaking* heavy rains all day so all my plants were waterlogged. I used two different kinds of potting soil for my container plants and one brand, called Butterfield Farms, turned out to be very bad for drainage. Rainy and windy all day today, but not cold.

I wanted to buy a new cheese grater, but the one I saw in Target cost twelve dollars. That seems like a lot, so I didn't get it.
