It's a bit early but I already bought two tomato plants at Home Depot today. I'll let them soak up some rays during nice days, and bring them indoors if it gets too cold or stormy outside. Yesterday was so warm out -- in the eighties! That's unusual for Upstate New York in early April. I missed most of it because I was asleep during the day.

It's so warm and sunny today -- the high will be 72 degrees. I went out and looked at all my plants, or what's left of them, and saw that my Black-eyed Susan plants still have green leaves on them. I'd thought they were dead forever after last year, but when I Googled for information I found out that Black-eyed Susans are perennials. Cool.

I saw my first robins last Saturday (March 27). I always like to keep track of such things. Last year I saw my first robins on the 17th of March, but then I haven't gotten out of the house much lately so that's probably why I spotted them later this year ( Read more... )
