I planted my moonflower and morning glory seeds yesterday. We had record-breaking* heavy rains all day so all my plants were waterlogged. I used two different kinds of potting soil for my container plants and one brand, called Butterfield Farms, turned out to be very bad for drainage. When I checked on them yesterday, the pots with BF soil had at least an inch of standing water on top of the soil! It wasn't draining at all. This morning the water on top had subsided, only to reveal visible animal turds within the dirt. I mean, the turds had been in there when I bought it, but disguised by dusty soil. The rain had exposed the crap. I carefully removed the plants that were in those containers, and put them in the better potting soil (Miracle Grow).
