So we had some Ancho BBQ sauce at the Qdoba on the way back from the wedding. I had some smoked tomatoes that i needed to get rid of so i gave it a try.

So, according to suggestion i have made yet another hot sauce...

Orange Cyanide Sauce

• 2 oranges worth of juice and pulp
• 3 Bhut Jolokia peppers
• 1 TB dark brown sugar
• 0.5 c water
• 0.5 c cider vinegar

Yesterday, we went hiking and swimming at Panther Creek Falls near Toccoa with the AOSC. It was a pretty good hike, i think six or seven miles. With a swim at the falls in the middle. It was too terribly hot, but it was still pretty hot... Fun none the less and good exercise. Afterwards, we had a pretty expensive but pretty good dinner at Tallulah ( Read more... )

I have acquired a bunch of free cherry logs for smoking meats! Yay! Wood chunks are expensive...

The housewarming party went off pretty well. Many people attended and much food and booze were consumed. The boston butts finally finished cooking after a mere fifteen hours. So yes, we are preparing for our housewarming party. Yesterday, i smoked cherries so that we can have smoked cherry lemonade. We'll see how that comes out... I smoked them using the hotplate method so i wouldn't have to deal with starting and actual fire.
