Lessee... Saturday, k went super long hiking, so i got up early-ish and ran 13 miles. I was going to try to run 16 miles in solidarity, but i just wasn't up to it... Then i went and played softball for a bit with Atari and others in practice for Alumni Weekend. It turns out we all suck at softball. Except Becca... I did my first 10k on Saturday, the Silver Comet 10k. I wanted to get a qualifying time for the Peachtree Road Race in July, which meant my goal was to finished under 55 minutes. So i went to the Scion Rock Fest on Saturday. It went from like noon to midnight, so that was a lot of standing... I saw several bands to check out (Salome, Krallice, Gaylord, Alestorm, Baroness). Also, Mastodon and Neurosis were there. That was cool. They even had the guy from Neurosis sing on a couple of Mastodon songs. I also got to explore all ( Read more... )

We ran our first 5k of the year last weekend. I managed a small improvement, so woo... I finished in 25:20 (gun time). The results say 25:09, so i guess that was the chip time. The is the first race i've been to with timing chips... Neat... After that, KAZ and i went to a gun show. It was full of rednecks. I got a machete but no guns... I need more ( Read more... )

Yes, yes...

We did the final 5k of the year on Saturday, the Jingle Jog. It was really cold and there were like a zillion people there. We weren't able to really start running until about two minutes into the race. People are annoying... Anyways, i posted an unimpressive 27:44. I guess that's what you get when you don't practice...
