Ultimately, we did get a new dog. He’s a terrier/Maltese mix and he’s a scruffy looking little dog. I call him Scraps. I think he’s pretty cute. He’s fairly friendly too. Feeling pretty tired today. Little things are getting easier, but I still miss our little dog. D wants to get a new dog (and it started almost immediately after Copper was gone). Yesterday was my great aunt’s funeral. It was already a high emotional day for us. We also had to put down our little dog, Copper. He was 15 and a half. His eye sight was pretty bad; he wasn’t very mobile (then became unable to walk around), as far as I could tell he wasn’t suffering before that. He had a very good life, I think. Vincent is struggling along today. That worries me a little bit! He best I can do for him is to back everything up, so I’ll do that as soon as I can. He seems to be behaving now, though, so I’m feeling more confident about his performance in general. That is, I’m not concerned he’s just going to keel over.
