New family member

Ultimately, we did get a new dog. He’s a terrier/Maltese mix and he’s a scruffy looking little dog. I call him Scraps. I think he’s pretty cute. He’s fairly friendly too. A little restless, as is understandable being in a new environment. He’s not Copper, I never expect him to be. I still feel a little odd about having a new dog; I had Copper for 15 years. So, it’s a little like making a new friend. Not sure what to expect but not totally against the idea. I probably wouldn’t have been okay with getting a new dog by myself and I wouldn’t have harbored the thought for years, most likely. D wanted a dog, though. And I tried very hard to be understanding and respectful of that. Scraps has brightened up the atmosphere of the house quite a bit. I still miss Copper and I always will.
