Today's the last day of September.

I haven't been posting, mostly because life has been busy and I've been trying to get my life in order, struggling to push forward each time the waves of nostalgia sweep me back.

Went overboard and made a whole bunch of chocolate date balls over the weekend. They were so damn bloody tasty, and so easy to make. I don't know why I pay $5 a pop for the Blue Dinosaur versions when I can make these tiny bite sized goodness myself. Scrapped plans to go for yoga for a short back massage and a foot massage.

The WB joined me shortly after. We shared the bowl of chirashi outdoors by the slightly hazy Marina Bay waterfront. There was a group of about ten people killing themselves with lunges.

I had a mini epiphany on my last run of 2011.

I had just done a quick 800m warmup swim in a freezing outdoor pool; the water was cold from 3 days of continuous rain and the wind was sweeping the surface of the pool as I struggled through the cold.

The warmup did wonders for my run. My pace was a good constant 8kmph and I was able to up it 9kmph, ( Read more... )
