I've just got myself a new laptop with a bigger hard-drive etc. and have been trying for 4 hours to install the Sims 3 basegame. During the installation process it keeps coming up with this message 'Error: Data error (cylic redundancy check)' with the buttons 'Retry' and 'Cancel'. I have lost the file in the folder My Documents>EA Games>The Sims 3, down the bottom where all the cache files are, I must have deleted the file named 'Sims3Logs.xml' by accident. Do I need to reinstall all my games or can someone just copy theirs and send it too me so I can replace the file?

I recently reinstalled my games and since then Sims has been running *really* slowly. I haven’t really added any new CC. Some hairs and a set of bunk beds but nothing huge so I don’t really understand why it’s suddenly turned into molasses. I also noticed that it appears that most of my CC has stopped working. I have the latest patch - 1.26.8 - and only have base game. Everything works fine until you put CC in. Any CC. Anything. I really really really need some help with this.

My game didn't update, and if I went into CAS, you couldn't change anything to do with gender, name, skintone, or body shape. So I did what EA told me, uninstall Origin and restart, install Origin and see if that makes a difference. It didn't. So I backed up all the files and uninstalled the actual game.
