I need some help with some game issues...
So! Recently my game has acting really bogus and I don't know why. I've seen a lot of people saying they've had trouble since installing the Pets EP but mine was working fine for a while then in the last week or so has been playing up.
First it started out with just silly things I could put up with like a bit of a glitch with the beds. The sims would just lay on top of the covers instead of under and their arms would be all wacky and when they woohoo'd they would be stretched all over the place. Then the whole game would just crash after about 10 minutes of playing. I did install a few mods in this time so I don't know if they clash or not. I have a Celebrity Difficulty mod by Hysterical Paroxysm, NRaas Relitivity, Story Progression and the Woohooer all are by Twallan I believe. I have also noticed my Create a World is no longer working. So I downloaded the 1.26 patch to see if that helped but no luck. Any ideas?
Also, I know in the Sims 2 I had to delete some Cache files in the game folder but I wasn't sure what or if I was supposed to in the Sims 3. I have looked and there are all sorts of files called 'script error (myname)' and 'xcpt (myname)' that build up over time but I don't know what they're for or what they mean.
On another note, for when I can finally play my game again I have been looking around for a way to get rid of the vampires in my town and it seems the best suggestions have been to use Twallans story progression mod. However when I have tried to access it ingame whether by town, household or sim I can see nothing relating to vampires or any way to edit whatever is listed there. Has anyone been able to do this because I am sick of all the vamps in my town turning everyone!
I seem to have saved up all my problems for this one dump. Sorry! But I do have just one more.. My sim is working as a Stylist in Appoloosa Plains and half her clients are animals wanting full wardrobe makeovers. Which is impossible and highly annoying. Has anyone else had this situation and found a way to stop it?
