I have figured out that perhaps changing my sims' skins might help a lot with me liking how they look.  I've been looking around for default replacement skins and faces for TS3 but I thought I would come here and ask as well... what are your favorites?

I have the latest patch - 1.26.8 - and only have base game. Everything works fine until you put CC in. Any CC. Anything. I really really really need some help with this.

I've been trying and trying to find skintones like Genensim's for Sims 3, for ages. Little furry skin textures with a nose pad (both genders) has anyone made such a thing, yet? or perhaps a furred overlay or anything of that nature? I've tried to install the Increased Texture Detail & Shine - TS3 Skin Replacements and I did like I was told, downloaded the .cfg-file, put the .package files right where they belong but I just started the game and nothing's changed.
