I have a question. Does anyone else find that plastic-framed glasses get smudged way more often than wire frames?  'Cause I swear, these frames of mine (which I think are just perfect, otherwise, BTW) are constantly in need of cleaning, way worse than my old wire frames.

Bought new glasses today.  They won't arrive till next week, of course (when your 'good' eye is at -7.55 diopters, that kinda happens), but I haven't had new glasses in five years, the first plastic frames I've had since I was, oh, nine or so, and these'll be the first I ever bought out of my own pocket ( Read more... )

I'd been planning on getting new glasses frames anyway, but the final straw was yesterday when the poor little abused right nosepadthingy fell off. Now my glasses slide down every few minutes, which is irritating. A friend tells me I can get the optometrist to order another pair just like them.
