I spent the day sewing. by which I mean these past 3 days. there's a bruise-colored bump on my hand where the handle of my scissors presses against it. my neck hurts. chris started his new job today. after 12 days off. he put in his notice to end his old job feb 26, because the new job said he could start march 1. OOPS WE MEANT MARCH 10. all these hoops he had to go through, interviews and such, even though they told him he had the job, but they had to do this just to put on paper that it was done. :P oh well, ( Read more... )

actually, we got home tuesday but chris had 4 days off before returning to work today. we tried to get some stuff done. immediately bought a 240-slot photo album and weeded through our 500+ photos to choose exactly 240 to put in our album. I think he took it to work with him today ( Read more... )

I don't care about football and I suspect this stupid game is the reason chris got suckered into working, when we thought he'd have the day off for once in, oh, probably the next 3 months.

as if the economy wasn't bad enough... let's pass two laws at once that will put TONS of people out of work!

chris has been taking on loads of overtime. may as well now, since he won't be able to once school starts. tonight he's working 6 hours for something like $11/hr more than his usual pay. overtime plus weekend plus evening plus some other benefit they toss out just for fun. we had plans for the day that we cancelled so he could take this shift ( Read more... )
