actually, we got home tuesday but chris had 4 days off before returning to work today. we tried to get some stuff done. immediately bought a 240-slot photo album and weeded through our 500+ photos to choose exactly 240 to put in our album. I think he took it to work with him today.
we had a great trip, visiting with friends and family. pleasantly surprised to find out my in-laws are horse-sitting. I spent a lot of time in the yard... we were supposed to be able to ride, but the horses aren't very well trained just yet, so that didn't happen.
and a few mishaps along the way. some injuries. some lost footwear. and I spent my very last night there awake, introducing the contents of my stomach to the toilet bowl in 5 installments. gross. my FIL gave me 3 different anti-nausea/stomach-settling drugs to take for the flight. they probably think I'm pregnant, but I've been fine since that day.
last night Germaine showed off the shark teeth
butterflygal341 gave her to my brother, who thinks florida only exists as a battleground for sharks v. alligators. so he asked her: "were they from when the sharks were fighting alligators?" and she matter-of-factly replied that alligators live in swamps and sharks live in oceans. "it's two different waters!"
I was kind of proud of her for that. I mean, I didn't know that until my first time at the ocean, 2 years ago! seriously, tell me this doesn't make sense. where do alligators live? Florida. and where is florida? IN THE OCEAN. so alligators obviously live in the ocean. duh.
