finally!
chris started his new job today. after 12 days off. he put in his notice to end his old job feb 26, because the new job said he could start march 1. OOPS WE MEANT MARCH 10. all these hoops he had to go through, interviews and such, even though they told him he had the job, but they had to do this just to put on paper that it was done. :P oh well, he is there now, and that's what matters.

Dietrich is around 75% potty trained. he still wears diapers to bed (and wakes up soaked, so not ready to stop that any time soon) and has accidents when he's playing outside, but hasn't had an accident indoors for several days. it's so great. we'll be down to only ONE kid in diapers! a luxury we haven't had since Linus was born almost 5 years ago! also, this is the youngest any of my kids has made this much progress towards potty training. he's not even 3 yet! 9 days to his birthday...
he so funny, though. if you tell him to go on the potty, he always has an excuse, normally starting with "I did!"
"I did! twenty times!" (point emphasized by putting up four fingers, one at a time, starting with the pinky)
"I did! on sunday!" well, you, um, have to do it today, too.
and then two minutes after his protest, I'll find him putting himself on the potty.
