Linus and Dietrich have found two empty pizza boxes, and turned them into laptops, drawing buttons for the keyboard, etc.

then Linus said, "I'm pretending my girlfriend is on here." I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE HE GOT AN IDEA LIKE THAT.

rule #1: don't bother getting him dressed. seriously, just let him run around in underpants. because when he goes into the yard .2 seconds later and comes in completely covered in mud? less things to have to wash!

I will be 30 in 365 days. it feels like it should be today. I doubt it'll phase me by next year.

in unrelated news, there is a 10-year-old girl with a crush on my 3-year-old son. it's weird.

chris started his new job today. after 12 days off. he put in his notice to end his old job feb 26, because the new job said he could start march 1. OOPS WE MEANT MARCH 10. all these hoops he had to go through, interviews and such, even though they told him he had the job, but they had to do this just to put on paper that it was done. :P oh well, ( Read more... )

Dietrich tends to do things for himself that the older two did't do at his age, or still don't do now. things like zip his own coat, prepare the bath (not fill it with water, but arrange the bath mat on the bottom and get some bath toys and get himself undressed) etc ( Read more... )

Dietrich was banging on the keyboard cause I forgot to lock the closet we keep the computer in. I go to chase him out, and I see this pop up screen: "are you sure you want to delete the file 'nursing school' and send all of its contents to the recycle bin?" uh, no. no I'm not. thanks for asking!

Dietrich: *flails around a full bottle of salad dressing like he's trying to hit someone with it*

me: "that is NOT a weapon!"

Dietrich: "I'm weppin' BAD GUYS!"

he would've seen me still in my awesome apron, made by my great-grama. I don't wear them often, but yesterday I baked 2 batches of brownies (one with mint extract added; one with white chips added) fried up some bacon for sandwiches, and made 5784924576 pickled beets, because that's how many beets my husband bought. too bad I don't have any cute ( Read more... )
