Newish here...lurked for long while. I'm a single 27 year old living in a 1940s 1 bedroom apartment and just love vintage. I would also love to visit Japan someday. So Japan resides in the bedroom for the most part as to not overwhelm the rest of the apartment - I try to limit the pieces as well. After months of working on my bedroom, I think it's safe to say that it is finally complete. I'm in an apartment...and I was just wondering the best way to hang paper lanterns to keep them from being flush to the wall. If I could help it, I didn't really wanna put a hole in the ceiling...since that's how *I* was thinking it should be hung LOL Any more suggestions?

My boyfriend went back to New York to visit his family for the week so I decided to surprise him by remodeling the kitchen while he was gone. I'm insanely proud of this- I wish I had remembered to take a proper before picture . I saw in a magazine once where instead of hanging some art above the bed they had a light projector or something that projected an image above the bed like a theatre set.. like flowers or something. Any clue on where to buy that or how to make it ( Read more... )
