Newish here...lurked for long while. I'm a single 27 year old living in a 1940s 1 bedroom apartment and just love vintage. I would also love to visit Japan someday. So Japan resides in the bedroom for the most part as to not overwhelm the rest of the apartment - I try to limit the pieces as well. I'm also very neat as you can see...it really does look like this most days (sad I know, organizing is an addiction to me).

Vintage vanity (the date of manufacture on the back says 1941) that I painted black as the wood was damaged. The strips down the front of the drawers is actually inlaid wood that I left untouched. The board to the left houses my grandmother's skeleton keys that I inherited when she passed away. I also collect hats and purses (most of which are in storage - I hung up the visually interesting ones and don't use them). The trunk houses a toy collection from years past.

2 partial sets of vintage brush & mirrors...their mates are displayed in my bathroom. The mirror is properly attached to the wall - I have cats - I just made it look like its propped. The vintage mirror tray holds containers for my everyday jewelry and make-up.

I need better frames for my prints...just haven't gotten around to it yet. Dresser is ready for another face lift I think. I'm just trying to decide what knobs to go with this time. I've owned it since I was baby and its just too handy to get rid of.

The frames hold postcards from Japan that I was sent by a friend of my ex-husband. And I work nights - its gotta be dark in here so I can sleep.

The closet and closet door are not pictured but are on the left hand side (behind an open bedroom door). I'm still looking for a matching, or matching like, lamp for the other side of the bed. It is vintage glass. I just got the "new" vintage nightstands. Probably going to paint them black and change out the knobs, not sure yet. The "headboard" is a set of curtains I just love but somehow manage to amplify sunlight on any windows they hang on. The lived in a closet for a year and half before I hung them like this over the bed.
