My son has left his job. Well, he's working out his notice (two weeks) plus an extra week to help them over Easter - because he's just too nice. Really don't know what this is going to mean for us going forward, since he's supposed to be paying half of the mortgage. He is applying for other jobs, so I'm hoping something will work out for him. Tomorrow is my sister-in-law's funeral. It would also have been her 53rd birthday. So, the family want people to bring birthday cards to put in the coffin. I made it into work and had a meeting with the HR person for my department. This was a 'managing of expectations' based on the conversation I'd had with P last week, which was probably a good thing. I booked last Thursday and Tuesday of this week off so that I had 6 days in total to spend as I chose. Monday and Tuesday were the University's 'welcome event' for new students and I was there to help promote IT Services.
