Last week was busy in the way the run-up to Christmas always is. Things get done but nothing exciting enough to be worth recording.
Yesterday went really well, though. Dinner was declared to be 'better than last year', which also received high praise. We watched lots of crappy Xmas telly AND Doctor Who, which was a great episode. Laughed and cried all the way through. Just perfect. And the vicar managed to get Star Wars into his 'sermon'.
I've done three chapters of the 'Mrs Lenoir edit' of Mannerley, and so far she's a definite presence in the novel even when she isn't physically present, which feels absolutely right. So, that's going well.
I've made it to Chapter 2 of FFX-2 and had a first go at the Gunner's Gauntlet, which actually went quite well. Perhaps I'll actually beat it, given enough practice *sigh* Because I'm going for 100%, I gave the Kilika sphere to the Youth League, which I ALWAYS do. Which means that I'm probably going to play again just so I can give it to New Yevon and see all the other stuff that you get with that.
Now, I'm just waiting for the family to arrive for Boxing Day fun. Really hope they all go before the match starts but I have a horrible feeling they won't.
Husband and son are still a bit rough but, so far, I'm still on course to my third illness-free winter. Here's hoping it continues.
