Next week, I'm giving a talk at the Paris Freedom Fest, entitled "Enlightened England, Optimistic America". It's about the English/Scottish Enlightenment, and how the ideas invented by those philosophers were made flesh, as it were, by America, and why American values are best.

I just realized that the talk is scheduled on September 11th. ;_; ♥

The day before yesterday, I wrote the first version of my Paris Freedom Fest talk. There are some things I know I won't include in the final-- for example, I talked a lot about the Pragmatists, when I don't really want to focus on those in the final event. I had a dream just as I woke up that I was staying an extra night with my darlings. I woke up with a actual =( face. I just booked my tickets to go to Seattle. I'm leaving at 0755 on the morning of monday June 22nd. I'm returning on July 13th/14th (I leave the states on the 13th but i don't get back to the UK until the next day... lovely).
