paris talk and weight success
The day before yesterday, I wrote the first version of my Paris Freedom Fest talk. There are some things I know I won't include in the final-- for example, I talked a lot about the Pragmatists, when I don't really want to focus on those in the final event. I also want to talk a lot more in Paris about the Anti-Enlightenment (Heh, that'll go down well, I'm sure. "The Anti-Enlightenment was most influential in France--" [vegetables are thrown at]), and give more examples of why America is cool. Well, when I recorded my version one, it took about fifteen minutes. My slot in Paris is 25 minutes... so maybe I'll struggle to say enough anyway.
Additionally, even though I stayed between 118 and 119 in Seattle, I'm now down to 117.2 (YAY). I didn't think I'd manage that this morning, thanks to pigging out at my favorite chinese restaurant two days earlier, but I guess all my good eating habits are paying off, hmm 8) I ate probably over a thousand yesterday, so I'm cutting down low today. I'm also baking blueberry muffins, though... haha let's see how long I can hold off. :B
Hmm... other news... I shaped and painted my nails yesterday and they look perfect even though under the paint they're splitting IT'S WHAT'S OUTSIDE THAT COUNTS everyone knows that. I have such an expensive nailcare routine... Jessica "Recovery" basecoat, two coats of Jessica "Blush" color, and a Rimmel "super wear" top coat. But the Jessica stuff cost something like eleven and nine pounds respectively, soo... eh. I bought them from the manicurist at Selfridges and it looks completely beautiful so It's worth it. I also want some nail guides, though, since I bought some off-white the other day to try french polish.
I'm hanging out with the Conch tomorrow though I don't even know where yet. Camden I guess? Or something. Maybe we should just go to the pub. XD Or maybe there's something in Shoreditch that I don't know about, since I'll be going to a sex shop there in the morning. Also there is a party going on at Conch's on the 6th or something and I somehow need enough money for alcohol. >:
